Le barbabietole a Torino vengono vendute già cotte al forno, private delle foglie e sporche di terra sulla buccia.
Al tocco, la pelle risulta coriacea ma non è molto resistente. L'interno è morbido al tatto e sembra gelatinoso ma abbastanza rigido; l'odore della barbabietola è similare a quello della terra (se non uguale), il gusto è particolare, leggermente dolciastro, personalmente non mi sembra un gusto cattivo ma neanche buono.

Le forbici sono in acciaio inossidabile e in questo caso abbiamo un impugnatura in plastica. Ovviamente presentano tutte le proprietà dell'acciaio e sono molto taglienti.
